- Ensure that suppliers comply with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, etc.).
- Conduct supplier audits, process validations, and approval of PPAPs.
- Manage supplier non-conformities, root cause analysis, and 8D reports.
- Drive cost recovery processes related to supplier defects and non-compliance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers (APQP, SPC, FMEA...).
- Maintain and improve the supplier evaluation system and performance indicators.
- Act as key interface between internal teams and suppliers for quality-related topics.
- Support change management and new product introduction from a supplier quality standpoint.
- Escalate issues and lead structured problem-solving with suppliers using tools such as Ishikawa, 5 Whys, QRQC.
- Strong technical background in quality tools & methodologies (8D, PDCA, FMEA, MSA, SPC…).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both with internal stakeholders and external suppliers).
- Proficient in cost recovery management, including tracking supplier claims and recovery actions.
- Fluent English – spoken and written – is mandatory.
- Familiar with automotive core tools and customer-specific requirements.
- Autonomy, problem-solving mindset, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Capacity to manage pressure and handle conflict constructively with suppliers.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
- Experience working in or with automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers.
- Certification in auditing (VDA 6.3 or IATF 16949) is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, and quality reporting tools (Power BI, QMS platforms...).
- Experience with electromechanical components or plastics/metals would be an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
